Digitaler Datenputz

The "Digitaler Datenputz" is part of the Corporate Digital Responsibility initiative, which was originally launched by the Upper Franconian company Baur. The aim of the initiative is to inspire employees in companies and other organizations to tidy up their data on hard drives, network drives, email inboxes, and in the cloud. By conserving resources—primarily water and electricity—positive effects for the environment can be achieved. In addition, tidy inboxes and storage spaces contribute to greater mental well-being among employees as well as increased productivity.
The University of Bayreuth has already participated in the initiative twice and, within this framework, has organized digital participatory meetings for storage cleaning and email inbox decluttering, both of which were met with very positive feedback.
The University of Bayreuth also plans to continue participating in the initiative in the coming years. If we have sparked your interest, we would be very happy to welcome you to one of our participatory meetings next year. For intranet users, materials, and recordings on digital data clean-up as well as further instructions can be found here at any time. This means that University members can carry out data cleanup measures independently at any time.
